Job hunting always brings self-doubt so I cut straight to how to manage it:
- don’t apply for any roles which make you hate work, even if that means ignoring, rejecting, and declining 80% of inquiries
- don’t stand for roles which suggests overwork, though you can reply to confirm it
- don’t feel about about declining anything, recruiters are paid plenty so don’t worry about them; you respect their feelings by being honest
- reply ASAP to the roles which you most want to inspire your feeling accomplishment for the day, even if most won’t give feedback beyond “the client goes in another direction” translation you’re overqualified, underqualified, and/or they don’t understand you
- you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do
- do what you love, that’s the only way to happiness and success
